Chess Pie

Add together:

  • 1 stick butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 whole eggs, unbeaten
  • 3 tsp corn meal
  • 1/2 Tbsp vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp vinegar

Stir together good, but do not beat too hard, for makes a hard crust on top and you do not want this.

Pour into unbaked 8″ pie shell and bake in slow oven till done, about 300°.
