Seafood Gumbo

Combine in dutch oven and brown till is dark brown:

  • 4 Tbsp Wesson oil
  • 4 Tbsp flour

Then add:

  • 2 medium chopped onions
  • 1 chopped celery
  • 1 chopped green bell pepper

Cook slowly with lid on for a few minutes. Add:

  • 4 cups water
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp seafood seasonings
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 pint oysters

Cook slowly 1 hour and add:

  • 2 cans shrimp
  • 1 can crab meat

Continue cooking 15 minutes. Remove from stove and add 2 tsp filé.

Serve over cooked rice.
