Crab Stroganoff

  • 1 (7 3/4 oz) can Fancy King Crabmeat

Remove cartilage carefully, keeping big chunks whole. Melt 2 Tbsp  butter or oleo in saucepan.


  • 1 (4 oz) can whole boiled mushrooms, drained and save liquid
  • 1 cup finely chopped onions

Cook over low flame 3 – 4 minutes. Blend in 2 tsp flour,

Combine and add:

  • liquid from mushrooms
  • 1 cup sour cream

Stir to blend. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Stir in crabmeat, gently. Heat for 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook GREEN MACARONI  according to package directions. Turn off heat, add SHERRY if desired. Drain noodles and butter lightly. Place on serving platter. Cover center with Crab mixture, arranging largest Crab chunks and some Mushrooms on top as a garnish.

Serves 4
