Spaghetti and Meat Sauce

  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 sliced clove garlic
  • 1 lb ground beef

Lightly brown in 1/4 cup hot olive oil. Then add in:

  • 1 can mashed tomatoes
  • 1/2 can tomato paste
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp parsley flakes

Add a small amount of water if needed to give adequate liquids for simmering at least 1 hour in a covered sauce pan. Stir occasionally.

Serve over cooked and drained spaghetti. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
