Spicy Meatballs in Mushroom Sauce

Melt 2 Tbsp fat in skillet and an saute 1/4 cup chopped onion till tender


  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 3/4 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp rosemary
  • 1/8 tsp thyme
  • 1/8 tsp marjoram
  • 1/8 tsp oregano

Mix all ingredients together and shape into small meat balls, using your hands to mix it thoroughly. Brown in fat just enough to keep balls from sticking too much, being careful not to burn. May be best to brown in 2 batches so can watch closer.

Pour off excess fat

In a skillet put

  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk

Add the meat balls. Let simmer about 45 minutes.

It may take almost 2 cans of soup and 2 cups of milk.
