Banana Pudding

  • 1 1/4  – 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Add a little of 2 cups milk. Then add in 3 egg YOLKS, then add rest of the milk, stirring in well. Set over boiling water until thickened, stirring constantly. Add in 1 tsp vanilla.

Line baking dish bottom and sides with vanilla wafers and add a layer of sliced bananas, then pour above Custard. Alternate layers until all is used up. Top with meringue, using egg WHITES and sugar to taste, and brown a golden brown. OR top with more wafers.
