Grease sides of pan with butter. Measure in:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp soda
  • 1 cup milk

Stir until dissolved, wipe crystals from sides of pan; cook until candy makes soft ball in cold water. Remove from heat and add:

  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 – 2 cups nuts, chopped

Beat until thick and drop on wax paper.
