Peanut Brittle

  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup water

Combine and boil until it spins a thread. Add 3 cups peanuts, stirring constantly. Cook and stir until it turns brownish gold; remove from heat.

Add:

  • 3 tsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp soda

Pour onto buttered board to cool and as it cools, work up from board with spatula. When cool, break into pieces.
