Prune Cake

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 1/2 – 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 Tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp ginger
  • 1 Tbsp allspice
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa
  • 4 Tbsp shortening or oleo

Mix all together and add:

  • 1 cup prune juice
  • 4 eggs, slightly beaten

Mix well and add 2 cups prunes.

Bake at 300° for about 50 minutes or till done.

FILLING:  (CANDIED PINEAPPLE)

  • 1 can crushed pineapple
  • 2 cups sugar

Cook till thick and spread between layers and on top.
