Cheese Biscuit

  • 2 cups flour
  • 3 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Mix dry ingredients.

Add:

  • 1/3 cup shortening, cut in
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup milk

Turn out on lightly floured board, kneed lightly, pat 1/2″ thick. Cut and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375°.
