For Freezing

  • 1 quart lukewarm sweet milk
  • 3 pkg yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 5 cups flour

Mix all together. May need a little more flour. Should make batter consistency of pancake batter. Cover and let rise 2 hours or till double in bulk.

Then add to mixture:

  • 1 tsp soda
  • 2 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Add 4 cups flour or enough to make batter like biscuit. Roll, cut and place on greased cookie sheet and place in freezer. Then pack in bags or plastic container. Take from freezer as you wish. Let rise 30 to 40 minutes before baking.
