Macaroni and Cheese

  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp dry mustard
  • dash of pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup and 4 oz sharp shredded Cheddar cheese

Prepare macaroni and set aside. Melt butter in 2 quart casserole in microwave oven, 1 minute at High. Add flour, salt and pepper; mix well. Add milk gradually, stirring constantly. Cook uncovered 6 minutes at High. Stir every 2 minutes. Add cheese to sauce and stir. Cook uncovered in microwave 1 minute at High. Add macaroni to cheese and sauce mix. Cook uncovered in microwave 4 minutes, at High. Stir half through cooking.
