Yeast Rolls

  • 6 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 egg whites, beaten
  • 3 packages yeast
  • 1 3/4 cups lukewarm water

Cream shortening, sugar and salt; add egg whites and mix well. Add water, then 3 cups flour. Add yeast, dissolved in water; mix well. Add 3 cups flour. Put in bowl and let rise. Knead lightly and make rolls. Bake at 400° for 12 to 15 minutes.
