Sausage Stuffed French Bread

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 loaf french bread
  • 2 eggs unbeaten
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 stick margarine, melted
  • 4 oz cheddar cheese, medium, mild or sharp grated

Crumble sausage & saute with celery and onion till done, but not brown. Drain

Slice bread long wise & pull inside from top and bottom. Crumble & combine with sausage. Beat in eggs and milk. Mold into bottom of loaf. Place top on and brush with melted margarine. Wrap in foil and bake at 400° for 15 minutes. Remove top and cover with grated cheese. Replace top and bake another 5 minutes, to melt cheese. Slice and serve with green salad and dessert.
